Canadian Hemochromatosis Society
Animation for Awareness.
Hemachromatosis is a condition that affects 1 in 300 Canadians, causing an excess amount of iron in the blood, which affects organ function and a person’s overall wellbeing. For the Canadian Hemachromatosis Society, helping people understand and identify the condition is one of its key tasks, and they turned to Original Ginger to help them with creating a series of short animated videos to do just this.

Serious Fun.

While hemochromatosis is no laughing matter, we aimed to make the videos fun and engaging in order to reach as wide of an audience as possible. We started from scratch, coming up with concepts for the video, scripts and illustrations – injecting a sense of humour at every step along the way.

Mission Accomplished.

Working to a tight deadline, we collaborated with various team members, including a talented illustrator and a voice over artist to present CHS with four videos – one longer explainer feature and three short social media clips. We also arranged royalty-free music and edited the videos, coming away with one very satisfied client and the feeling that we’d been able to help a worthy cause!
